Frequently asked questions
RFP is an acronym for requests for proposals. It is a popular term used in the procurement process that reflects when an entity needing goods or services is seeking formal documentation from qualified entities that can provide them. Another helpful term to know is RFQ (request for quotation). This is similar to an RFP except it is used when the requesting organization (i.e. Foundation) knows exactly what goods they need but need the most competitive price.
